The goal of Fruit and Vegetable Bucks is to assist Adams County residents who receive SNAP assistance to purchase additional fresh fruits and vegetables.
A 50% discount on up to $25 worth of fresh fruits and vegetables per day at Kennie's Markets in Gettysburg, Biglerville, and Littlestown from January through April each year.
This incentive was started through a USDA Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive (FINI) Grant in 2016 and continues with the support of funding from Wellspan Hospital Foundation.
Join SNAP Fruit & Vegetable Bucks by doing one of the following:
Visit the Customer Service Desk at Kennie’s Market in Gettysburg any day from 6:30am-9:00pm. Sign up in the month of September.
Visit the Food Pantry at South Central Community Action Programs (153 N. Stratton St., Gettysburg) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm or visit the WIC office at the same location if you are a WIC recipient.
